At this time, the majority of our referrals come through our partnership with EverHeart Hospice. Through this collaboration, hospice staff are able to identify families who may benefit from the types of support our foundation provides and connect them with us directly. This partnership helps ensure that families navigating end-of-life care or child loss can access support in a timely and compassionate way.

In addition to hospice referrals, we also receive referrals through word of mouth. Many families learn about Callie’s Giving Heart Foundation through friends, community members, social workers, or others who are familiar with our mission and the support we offer.

We Walk Alongside Families
We believe no family should face the unimaginable alone. Inspired by Callie’s life and legacy, we walk alongside families navigating end-of-life care or the loss of a child by offering comfort, practical support, and opportunities for remembrance.

Every family’s journey is different. Our goal is to meet families where they are and provide meaningful support during some of life’s most difficult moments.

End of Life Support
We help families create meaningful moments together during a child’s end-of-life journey. This may include supporting special experiences, family gatherings, or memory-making opportunities that allow families to spend intentional time together.

Funeral and Memorial Assistance
We help ease the financial burden families often face after losing a child by assisting with funeral and memorial-related expenses, including burial or cremation costs, memorial services, and remembrance items that honor a child’s life.

Creating Lasting Memories
We support legacy and remembrance projects that help preserve the memory of a child and celebrate the love they brought into the world. This may include keepsakes, memory projects, or community remembrance opportunities.

Practical Support for Families
During times of crisis, families often face unexpected needs. We may assist with things like meals, travel, lodging, or other practical needs that allow families to focus on being together.

As we walk alongside families, we know that every journey is different. We remain open to learning and expanding the ways we offer support, continually listening to families and care providers so we can meet real needs with compassion and care. As part of our commitment to supporting families and the broader community, we also offer a scholarship for high school seniors continuing their education after graduation.
We understand that families navigating end-of-life care or child loss may not always be in a position to ask for help themselves. For this reason, applications may be completed by anyone on behalf of a family, including loved ones, medical professionals, social workers, hospice staff, or community members.
